Not sure what to buy when you go to NordicTrack. Below are some reviews on some of the most popular NordicTrack products.
NordicTrack started about 20 years ago building unique exercise machines that gave you the same exercise as cross-country skiing. The machines offered a great full body workout and popped up in living rooms all over. Eventually the novelty of the skier machines wore off a little and the company started diversifying. Today they produce a full line of ellipticals and now their treadmills are some of the hottest sellers on the market. But they trace all of their design and business practice back to what originally got them into business; innovative design and machines that really work.
Today NordicTrack is a subsidiary of ICON Health and Fitness. A company based in Logan Utah. They are a great parent company that also manufactures brands such as Reebok, Image, and Proform.
Strengths:
Luxury workout add ons from a flat screen TV to built in speakers and a subwoofer, these treadmills come fully equipped with entertainment options. They also come with extras to help your workout, including odometer miles, custom personal trainer workouts, and carb counters.
The best part is even several of their lower end models come equipped with these features. So you don’t have to spend the big bucks to still get a great treadmill.
Weaknesses:
The warranty varies from model to model but overall it was a little short on some of the models. Although the motor is covered there are several other spots that can go bad. You can extend the warranty and eliminate that concern pretty easily.
Conclusion:
This year they upgraded most of their treadmills and this has made a huge difference. A surprisingly large number come equipped with a TV or sound system or both. I felt like Nordic Track offers some of the most equipped treadmills at the price.
A budget treadmill is still just that. So if you are planning on running hard or really beating up your machine, be sure to get one of the higher end models. They have enough power and strength to withstand that marathon training.

Strengths:
Warranty – This treadmill has an amazing warranty. It has NordicTrack’s famous lifetime warranty on the motor. 5 years on parts and 1 year on in-home labor. In-home labor means, if anything goes wrong in the first year, they will send a technician to your house to fix the problem or replace your treadmill absolutely free.
7" Flat Screen TV – I love having the 7" flat screen built in TV, you can watch your favorite show or track your workout, or both at the same time. I noticed that it was built into the machine very solid.
Advanced Adjustable Cushioning - Cushioning on the Elite 7500 can reduce impact on your joints by up to 33%, as compared to road running. This will allow you to work out longer and harder. And you can easily adjust the belt and get a street or beach feel on your feet.
Long 60” Belt – This heavy duty belt is about 6” longer than regular treadmills. If you are tall or like to sprint on the treadmill, you will definitely appreciate the extra length. And won’t ever feel like you are about to fall off.
iPod/Mp3 Hookup with Sound System – It is so nice to be able to plug your iPod or MP3 player into the built-in audio jack and listen to Queen or whatever you want while you workout. This makes it so much easier to listen as compared to putting earphones in. It even comes with a sub-woofer that shakes the room.
35 Built In Workouts – This treadmill comes standard with more pre-set workouts than almost any other. With five different groups, from custom personal trainer workouts, to event training (5k, marathon, etc.), there is a wide choice of options. And of course they are all designed by a personal trainer
Weaknesses:
We noticed a few incompatibilities between iFit cards and the treadmill’s console. But for the majority of the time, the extra cards worked seamlessly.
One other small downside, is when compared to some of the other models with built in TV screens, it doesn’t offer a good calorie count.
In the past NordicTrack and their parent company Icon have been criticized for poor customer service, but they recently dedicated an extra 2 million dollars to fix the situation, so that should be a thing of the past.
Overall Conclusion:
This is a commercial grade high quality treadmill. It has an amazing warranty, loads of high end features, and all the entertainment extras you could ever want. This machine is the real deal.
Because NordicTrack sells more treadmills than anyone else, they are able to offer better deals simply because of the amount of treadmills they put out. Especially at the sale price, this treadmill is a great deal.
